Top is off. There was a chimney in the top of the log that allowed water into the log. You can see the pond of water to the right. Really nice color and grain! Some of these slabs will be for sale. #liveedge #slabwood #alaskanmill #chainsawmill #lucasmill #portablesawmill #urbanlumber #nashville #tennessee #sawmillbusiness

Very excited to have been asked by @chopnashville to help out in the milling of these two beasts. They are Red Oak, the log on the right is 86″ in diameter. The sister log on the left is 72″. The tree was a selective removal, sigh, and now will be repurposed into beautiful live edge slabs. This will require some unique equipment and plenty of ingenuity. #liveedge #slabwood #alaskanmill #chainsawmill #nashville #tennessee #sawmillbusiness #urbanlumber
