How to Create a Platform For Your Business Ft. BuildTX Solutions

“I admire what you’ve done; your social media presence is very strong. If you have any advice on how to grow it, attract more people, and make it where people want to be in our community and part of our brand.”

  • Yelitza Mora

Yelitza and BuildTX Solutions are doing an excellent job of developing their brand and online presence. Still, for a business to experience actual growth, there is no such thing as too much attention. Steve has many years of experience solving this problem for businesses, and BuildTX Solutions is no exception.

“In New York City, my friends and I threw the best party in New York City on a Tuesday night. I ran a nonprofit, and I would host galas and fundraisers. So I was always getting people drunk, raising money, and having fun picking the DJs. I was setting the tone. I’ve been doing these Woodpreneur meetups, and it’s just been great to connect with people.

You’re probably feeling the high off of the world opening up and creating a platform for businesses. But what does a platform mean? A platform means that you either have your own show, your own podcast, your own event series, you host talks, or something similar. If you look at that, keep in mind your ideal target audience.

So if your target audience is about luxury, who else are they buying from? What are the transactions before and after you? What kind of cars are they buying? What kind of beverages are they buying? Figure all of that out, then go and partner with them.”

Charity Benefiting Everyone

Charity is an effective way to scale the public perception of your business while doing good for your community or any cause you choose. There is never a shortage of charitable groups in need of assistance, and by working with your partners and clients to help those in need, you can develop the public’s perception of your company.

“So why don’t you have a BuildTX charity gala? Your charity gala is where you raise a half million to a million dollars, then you get all of your clients, contractors, and partners, and they all have to give you money because you make them money. Then you use that money for good.

You and your partners become like celebrities, you’re doing good, and you’re connecting your customers together. Another idea you could do is create a Design Series where you walk people through the process of redesigning their homes in luxurious style. Then you get an architect and your designer, and you walk through some case studies. In the end, people get an invitation to do design consultation for a paid cost.

You say, ‘Listen; you could do it yourself, hire us, or hire somebody else. But we’ll design it for you; here are the specs, here’s everything.’ Because of the platforms I’ve built in my career, so many opportunities happen. And from a mindset perspective, I remember we talked about this in San Diego, the more you show up 100% as yourself from start to end, the more you attract your people.”
