Marketing Woodworking Business – Your 10 Step Woodworking Business Marketing Plan Part 2 by Woodworking For Fun & Profit

As promised last week, here is part 2 of Marketing Woodworking Business – Your 10 Step Woodworking Business Marketing Plan by Woodworking for Fun & Profit. We know you are all been waiting for this blog. So here is the continuation.

6. Build a list of all the places Online and Offline you prospect is likely to visit.

For online, the first thing that comes to mind is social platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.

Most of your target audience is present on those platforms, it’s just about how are you going to market your business. Look for other sites and forums do you think potential customers are likely to frequent.

For offline avenues, you can consider various retailers, shopping malls, theaters, and coffee shops. Publications on TV and the radio are also potential options for your brand.

Always remember that your primary purpose is to uncover potential avenues where you can connect to your target audience.

7. Create a Marketing Calendar.

Planning a marketing calendar can give you time to think, brainstorm and prepare marketing materials you need to use. Preparing Marketing campaigns in advance will give you more time to focus on other things you need to prepare and be on top of for your business.

For local marketing, we suggest delivering postcards, posting on the community bulletin boards, or making your vehicle a moving billboard, you can also make promo opportunities that will encourage people to know more about your business through workshops and events.

Following your scheduled calendar can attract customers and cash.

8. Build a connection with every prospect.

Your main agenda and mission for doing marketing efforts are to turn leads into sales and prospects into paying customers.

Answering all inquiries as fast as you can and as professionally as you can encourages your prospect to know more and visit your website or sign up in your newsletter.

You can also share useful ideas, promos, and new product releases with the people who show interest in your products.

By doing this regularly, your brand will be trusted and once your target audience has decided to purchase, your brand will be the first thing that comes to their mind.

9. Leave a prospect with a call to action

Give your clients somewhere to go at every opportunity, for example, when doing a custom woodworking project, leave a business card or a promo postcard that clearly directs them into your store, website, or Facebook community group.

Putting your contact information on every marketing poster, quote, or even your vehicle, brings your customers to your doorsteps and lets them know more about your business.

10. Test and track everything.

Spend a little time to track and analyze your campaign or marketing efforts. Check if it is effective or not. If some are effective, give more effort and continue what you are doing.

If some are not, figure out what’s wrong, adjust something in the text, color, or the platform you are using then test again. Check all the things you do and determine which of those works best.

Connect to your prospect frequently and add more business cards, postcards, or brochures consistently and encourage your recipients to visit your online store and connect with you.

Follow these steps and you will make more money and your business over time.
