Search Engine Optimization is a great way to generate leads, but in March of 2021 Google is changing the playing field when it comes to SEO. This is extremely important because it can have an impact on your website’s traffic, your ability to attract leads, and your google ranking opportunities.

Google is the largest search engine and web searches are the lowest hanging fruit in terms of generating leads. The thing you need to keep in mind when it comes to SEO and search engines, in general, is that it is intent-based. If someone is searching for you, or searching for the services or products you provide that is a very specific set of actions.

Design with Success and Engagement in Mind

If you haven’t had a website built yet, or you’re planning to have a redesign done for your website soon, it’s critical that you keep this in mind. You need to prioritize mobile-friendly websites, it’s time to step it up woodpreneurs!

The amount of organic traffic and actionable leads that can be generated through a well-designed website is massive and it’s really not worth missing out on.

It’s about to be 2021, websites aren’t just optional online brochures anymore that sit and act as a placeholder on a URL attached to your brand. Your website is a lead generation tool, and more so it is for many people the digital representation of your business and what you’re about.

How to Maximize Organic Traffic

So if you haven’t made a website yet, or you have a redesign on the horizon here are some tips to keep in mind:

Indexing Crawlers AI isn’t as smart as it likes to think it is!

The tools responsible for making sure that your website content shows up in search engine results are called crawlers. Crawlers are great at indexing text information, but they suck when it comes to images, gifs, and videos.

To gain more organic traffic easily, especially when considering Mobile-First Indexing, the best thing you can do is add more text to your mobile website.

This doesn’t even need to be on your homepage or anything like that, it can be behind the scenes as well and we’ll talk about that a bit more in our workshop coming up here, but the bottom line is – add text content to your mobile website, that’s huge.

Focus Your Efforts on Your Mobile Site

If it comes down to splitting time, content, or effort between the desktop version of your website and your mobile site. You need to prioritize your mobile website. Mobile searches are the top option for consumers globally right now, and studies show that desktop searches are likely to continue declining.

The best thing you can do for your organic traffic marketing efforts is to put the time into making your website mobile-friendly and full of information those search crawlers can index.

Invest in the Right Tools and Strategies

My final piece of advice in this article to maximize your leads and engagement for 2021 is to invest in the right tools. If you’re not an SEO expert, think about investing in someone or something to give you that information.

As an example, the CRM Acres of Timber app we’ve been working on has a built-in landing page creator. The reason being we know how crucial it is to have a landing page that ranks well, shows well, and encourages tangible engagements from potential customers and followers.

Attend workshops too, always! If you don’t know something or how to do something, it’s a safe bet that there is someone out there willing to teach you.

Alright, I’ll talk to you guys soon.
