Always look to tool deals to buy quality goods at low prices. There are several tool deals accounts that you can follow to keep an eye out for good deals. Do not spend full price if you have a choice because if you can save on those tools, you can use the excess money to buy other supplies for your woodworking business. 

 

You can use Toolbox as a reference, he is awesome and he knows when all the good tools are on sale. You can also check slickdeals.net. If you do need something, keep an eye on those tools through sales in the market. 

 

You can also buy tools at Walmart to get started. Those lower-end model tools, like Heart, Ryobi, and Porter Cable make some good stuff. They are budget tools but they can well in the interim.

 

Some people get their tools came from pawn shops and yard sales. This is also a good idea, but make sure to check and try the tools in the store before buying. 

 

 

Best Budget For a Table Saw 

 

If you are looking for a budget table saw, you can look in the job site types table saw markets where you can find 10in job saw. Dewalt makes a good job site saw and so does Delta. They are in frame and they sit on a table too so it is really portable. A lot of woodworkers start out with those and make some pretty awesome projects with that. 

 

Budget is necessary for starting a woodworking business. There are people who start in woodworking and they go out and buy the biggest and finest tools, but that is an expensive way to begin. 

 

We just started working in a  backyard with no electricity and we’ve used tools that we don’t know how old. But we always have to start somewhere, those humble beginnings, never be ashamed of what you have. 

 

Once you buy a table saw, make sure to immediately upgrade the blade, the blade is going to make a huge difference.

If you are looking for lumber deals, you can look at your local places. Also check out Woodcraft, Rocker or you can just search hardwood online, you will see those deals and they’ll actually put stuff on sale.  I personally bought a bunch of lumber from Woodcraft on sale. 

 

You can save a lot of money on smaller boards but you are not buying a table-size board. You can buy kinds of stuff that’s smaller, for smaller projects. You can buy and build tons of stuff out of a 5-inch board. 

 

Pallet Wood Project Ideas 

 

You can build stuff out of pallets the only caution I would offer you on that is to be careful. You don’t know what was transported on those pallets or what leaked on them, so if was some type of chemical don’t make cutting boards from it. 

 

A lot of pallets are made out of hardwoods, the cheaper ones, or oak. You can make a lot of stuff and they are usually fairly easy to get. 

 

Lots of lumber stores will give you pallets if you want them, you can get them also from places like Atwood’s, a tractor supply store. Do not just go out and buy pallets. Try to find them free first. 

 

 

 

 

There are a lot of companies that will just throw that pallet out onto the road. But still, you should ask before grabbing them.  One more thing, if you decide to use pallets, you should invest in a straw magnet to find those hidden nails. You should be careful with that because they will destroy a planer blade. 

 

Coupons to Save Money on Tools 

 

If you’re going to get tools from these big box stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s, you can actually go on eBay and buy a coupon. Sometimes you have to pay maybe $5 then you can get the coupon digitally and print it. And it is usually $50 off a purchase of a minimum $100 or $150. 

 

Sometimes the more you spend, the more a coupon is worth but often when you do that, you get more than one coupon, and that’s not the only thing you can get from there, you can also get gift cards and household items.

 

A lot of people feel like they shouldn’t ask for a discount. Don’t ever be ashamed of that. You’re trying to save some money.
